April 27, 2020What's New
This is what was sent to all staff at Target Health, as well as to our friends and colleagues on LinkedIn.
TO THE BEST TEAM IN THE INDUSTRY
One way to get through this dreaded disease, which will pass, is to collaborate, cooperate and share what you can. Fortunately, we are in the best industry in the world, which is committed to beating this virus, as well diseases in general. And, in spite of these most challenging times, everyone at Target Health, and I mean everyone, has not not skipped a beat, so thank you all!!!
In terms of our current activity, here are some highlights: Our two COVID-19 programs are progressing with the first patients enrolled last week in the first study, and first patient first visit planned early May for the second study. An accelerated approval process for a rare disease is moving along. A briefing book was submitted to FDA for an oncology drug coming out of China and final reports were submitted to the sponsors for a tropical disease and an oncology program we have been working on for many years. An IND is being planned for a novel HIV diagnostic, and we also just closed a program to do QC of data for an NDA in the anti-infectives area. We are very fortunate that all departments at Target Health are busy. And as our former CEO, Joyce Hays, and now VP, says, the harder we work, the luckier we get!
We are working hard to generate new business opportunities, and here are a few highlights that are in the hopper: 1) a program in urology/hematology; 2) pre-sub meeting for a novel diagnostic for Alzheimer's disease; 3) COVID-19 diagnostic; 4) novel vaccine technology which may also be applicable to COVID-19; 5) opportunity in a Space Program, details to follow.
We know that this is a difficult time for all of us and the planet at large. However, it is important that no matter what is going on, and as troubling life seems now to be, every day, we must plant the seeds for future growth. If we all do what we do well, together we will beat this. Also, spend dedicated time each day getting pleasure whether with family, a hobby, reading a book, playing Scrabble, Chess or whatever works for you and your families. In our house, music is a high priority for pleasure.
Thank you again and be safe.
